The Sisters of the Holy Faith on the New Orleans mission, will celebrate 50 years of our New Orleans mission, with a mass of Thanksgiving at Our Lady of Prompt Succor, 2320 Paris Raod, Chalmette at 11.00am on Saturday, 14 October 2017, followed by social time in the adjoining church hall.
We invite our Sisters, associates, past pupils, teachers, co-workers, fellow parishioners and friends to join with us in this celebration. The current Holy Faith Sisters ministering in the Archdiocese are Sisters Nancy Hale, Maura O’Donovan, Pauline Reilly and Teresa Rooney. We also have a group of local Holy Faith associates. The places our Sisters have ministered during the past 50 years are the following: St Robert Bellarmine, St Louise de Marillac, Church of the Epiphany, Corpus Christi, Blessed Sacrament, St David, St Hubert, Garyville, St James Major, St Clement of Rome, St Elizabeth Ann Seton, The Desire Street Project and the Social Apostolate of the Archdiocese of the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
Currently the Sisters continue to minister at the Office of Racial Harmony, Archdiocese of New Orleans, Lantern Light Ministry, Church of St Gabriel and Burning Bush: Sisters and Brothers for and End to Violence.
