On Sunday, 8 October 2017, Sisters, Associates, colleagues, students and friends came together in Couva to honour our Foundress, Margaret Aylward, and to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Sisters’ presence in Trinidad.
Beginning in October 2014, we had embarked on a three year journey towards this milestone in a concept called ’Marketspace’.
‘Marketspace’ aimed to showcase the giftedness of God’s people, to encourage their creativity and support their entrepreneurial endeavours through the display and sale of their locally-made items.
The day began with celebration of the Eucharist. Other activities followed, including an all-age bicycle ride and a community walk in Couva, a dramatization of the arrival of the first Holy Faith Sisters to Trinidad in 1947, performed by the pupils of St. Monica’s Preparatory School and a Margaret Aylward Museum.
