This Easter, the children of St. Monica’s Preparatory School participated in an art competition, expressing the theme: What Easter Means to Me. This was truly a remarkable event. In the midst of this global pandemic, the children got an opportunity to let their light shine. They reiterated, through art, that Easter is about Jesus saving us and giving us new life, especially when we have all felt a loss of hope. All art pieces wonderfully depict that Easter means believing in Jesus’ resurrection, spending time with families and attending church. They even included some traditions such as Easter egg hunts and kite flying. After all, Easter simply means joy to children, something we, as adults can easily forget.
