On 24 June two men will be ordained priests for the Diocese of Parramatta in Weston Sydey, Australia. They are Thomas Thien Hien Bui and Pio Yong Ho Jang. As Parramatta is awaiting the appointment of a bishop, the former vicar-general and now Bishop of Toowoomba in Queensland will return to Parramatta to ordain Thomas and Pio.
Thomas was born in Vietnam and completed a degree there before coming to Parramatta. Pio is originally from South Korea and he too completed his first degree before joining the seminary. Two migrants representing two staunchly Catholic communities in Australia and the wider migrant communities who bring such a vibrant celebration of Catholicism to Australia.
Congratulations Thomas and Pio!
