The Holy Faith Sisters in Trinidad celebrated “Commitment and Loyalty” of Teachers of Holy Faith Preparatory Schools (St. Bernadette’s and St. Monica’s) at a Recognition of Long Service Awards Ceremony at the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Maraval.
Twenty-six members of staff from both schools with a total of 721 years of service were presented with specially designed awards.
The Awards Ceremony started with a posthumous presentation to Jemma Lewis – “a mother figure to all who cleaned St. Bernadette’s with pride”; followed by two awardees who now reside in Ireland – Father Pascal Tiernan, who for 20 years assisted in developing and maintaining the Catholic ethos of St. Monica’s and Sister Mary Eunan Gallaghar for 39 years of loyal and dedicated service until she retired.
Awardees for 15-19 years of service dubbed “The Terrific Teenagers” followed. The list grew for “The Roaring Twenties” to awardees spanning 20 – 29 years of service.
The Sisters and Board of Management expressed sincere gratitude to the Awardees.
