Memorial Mass for Sr Baptista Smiddy will be held on Tuesday 2nd September 2014 at St. Theresa’s R.C. Church Woodbrook at 6.00pm. All former colleagues, past pupils, Holy Faith Associates and friends are invited.
Sr Baptista had a great and enduring love for all her past pupils. When she was preparing to return to Ireland she wrote that she was looking forward to having a little more time “to pray for all past pupils that God may bring to fruition in them what I began so inadequately”. The sisters in Glasnevin can attest that, at every Mass she attended, Baptista kept her word and prayed for all her past pupils.
Now it is our turn to pray for her and to give thanks to God for her life of giving to others.
The Holy Faith sisters hope that many of you will be able to attend this Memorial Mass.
