Two of our last principals in Catholic Schools in the US celebrated their retirement this past weekend- Sisters Catherine Casey and Kathleen O’Connor.
Catherine ministered as principal of St. Linus School, Norwalk, since 2006. Sister worked for many years in schools in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and ministered in the Diocese of Sacramento as principal of Holy Spirit School, Fairfield, for many years.
Kathleen has been principal of St. Raymond School, Downey since 2006. As well as working in many schools in the Archdiocese, Kathleen also lived and worked in New Orleans for a number of years.
With the retirement of these two fine sisters, an era had ended for the Sisters of the Holy Faith since both of these sisters were the last to work in what is considered Holy Faith Schools. They, and our sisters, have left well established schools and a rich legacy in Catholic education.
