Hope for the Earth – Hope for Humanity: Laudato Si’ Week

Laudato Si’ week is held from 21 – 28 May 2023 to celebrate the eighth anniversary of the publication of Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’.

“Hope for the Earth. Hope for Humanity”, is this year’s guiding theme.

The Week  has begun with the sad news that 49% of the species on earth are moving towards extinction, including most of our common species which we thought were safe (research by Queen’s University, Belfast).
