Holy Faith sister and composer of religious music, Marie Dunne, has composed a new Magnificat – the Blessed Virgin Mary’s canticle of praise and gratitude – which is recited every day in the evening Prayer of the Church. The new Magnificat was first performed at the annual meeting of the Conference of Religious of Ireland (CORI) held in Malahide. The main speakers at the conference were Sr Sandra Schneiders and Sr Pat Farrell, former President of the US Leadership Conference of Women Religious.
Sr Marie’s composition was recorded today, 2 May 2014, and will be released on disk for Vocation Sunday which is celebrated this year on 11 May.
